Every computer must have display capabilities, and it has a display chip, which is called GPU. Some are independent, and people call them "discrete graphics cards", while some are integrated onto the motherboard and are called "integrated graphics cards" because discrete graphics cards are more expensive than integrated ones. So how can you tell the difference when buying a computer?
Check the system configuration: Right-click "My Computer", select "Manage", open the left navigation to the Device Manager, and expand the "Display Adapter" on the right side. Generally, integrated ones are from series like Intel or AMD, such as Intel 6760 or AMD 650. An independent one has its own graphics card chip code, such as GT430, 9600GT, etc.
Memory: If the memory is less than 2G, you can check if it is an integer. For example, 2G means it is independent. If it shows 1.95 or 1.75, it means it is integrated. You can view the memory properties by right-clicking "My Computer" and selecting "Properties".
